Music, the essence of sound, transcends so many different frequencies of life. The art; the pure, raw emotion. An ability to break free from the apprehensions we have constantly ran into. As an artist, Chafa does a beautiful, aesthetically sounding job expressing this similar premise of life. We must learn from our continuing journey.
Now since I’m not personally an expert on his genre of music, I can’t give full detail on what exactly Chafa does. Thankfully, once again appreciating the journey of life, Chafa and I were able to talk about his process a little for his last single ‘Abyss’.
Before I get into that, I want to at least say a little more on what I feel when I hear ‘Abyss’. From the beginning, this piece takes me on a path of affirmation. Knowing that I am deciding to take this road most people avoid, gives me a sense of purpose. An understanding of self among not just people, but the open abyss. That I must appreciate every single moment I have trudged through just to sit here and reminisce. Although, knowing that I still have a long way to go...

"I wrote Abyss a few years ago when I was going through a low point in my life. I felt lost and defeated, and began suffering anxiety attacks shortly thereafter. I tried to make music to cope, but struggled to find inspiration. After succumbing to the proverbial ‘Abyss’, I began to write the main melody. I sought to create a minimal but powerful piece that captures the feeling of being lost and finding your way back”
